Mountainside Behavioral Health wants everyone who is looking for mental health care to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with disabilities, and for everyone else too.
What we do
- We test the site's page templates with automated accessibility checks on desktop and mobile, and fix the problems they find.
- We check color contrast, heading order, link and button labels, form labels and keyboard access to menus when we build or change pages.
- We give images text alternatives and keep important information in text rather than only in images.
- We review new pages before they go live.
Known limitations
Automated checks cannot catch every problem, and some content on this site comes from other providers, such as embedded maps and videos, which we do not fully control. If something does not work for you, we want to know.
Tell us about a problem
If you have trouble using any part of this website, or need information in a different format, please contact us. Let us know the page and what went wrong, and we will work to fix it or get you the information another way.
