At Mountainside Behavioral Health, our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health treatment to individuals and families in our community. As a female-owned practice, we are proud to offer inclusive care to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We specialize in the treatment of emotion dysregulation, trauma, selfharm and suicidal ideation, offering both individual and group therapy.

Our clinicians bring over a decade of intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), ensuring that our approach is grounded in the most current research and best clinical practices.

Emily Biggs-Heisler, Ph.D.

Emily Biggs-Heisler, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Clinical Director and Co-Owner of Mountainside Behavioral Health.

She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in clinical, research, and testing settings and is intensively trained in brief suicide prevention interventions, cognitive behavioral and trauma-based therapies, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Dr. Biggs-Heisler provides individual, family, and couples therapy. She teaches DBT skills groups, provides supervision to staff and trainees, and works with clients who are twelve years old and above.

Anabelle Brecker, LCSW

Anabelle Brecker, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Co-Owner of Mountainside Behavioral Health. She brings experience working with both adolescents and adults across a range of clinical settings. Anabelle is trained in evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed interventions, and brief suicide prevention strategies.

She offers individual therapy and facilitates DBT skills groups for clients ages 15 and older, with a focus on helping individuals build effective coping strategies, regulate emotions, and improve interpersonal functioning.

Audrey Fisher, LPCC

Audrey Fisher, LPC

Audrey Fisher, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is trained in evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed interventions, and suicide prevention strategies. She also specializes in substance use treatment and helping athletes manage mental skills like focus, confidence, and motivation to reach their potential, while also improving overall mental health and enjoyment of sports.

She brings experience working with both adolescents and adults across a range of clinical settings.

She offers individual therapy and facilitates DBT skills groups which focuses on helping individuals develop effective coping strategies, regulate emotions, and improve interpersonal functioning.

She works with clients 13 years of age and older.

Diana Huizar

Diana Huizar, Ph.D.

Diana (Dee-ah-na) Huizar is a school psychologist who works with adolescents and young adults (ages 11–24), as well as their families, to support emotional well-being, behavior, and everyday life skills. She helps students build practical tools for managing emotions, staying organized, following through on tasks, and navigating school and daily responsibilities with greater confidence.

Diana brings experience from clinical counseling, school systems, nonprofit work, and prior service in the United States Marine Corps. Her approach is compassionate, structured, and skills-focused, with an understanding of how stress, environment, culture, and access to support affect students and families.

Her work is grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Loving Kindness practices. She provides services in English and Spanish and focuses on helping young people strengthen relationships, build independence, and develop skills for long-term success.
